We want to hear from you about your experiences of having time to lead your team.
Your unique views are vital in helping us understand your experiences as a Senior Charge Nurse in NHS Scotland.
Please tell us about your experiences of being supernumerary or supervisory, and any barriers or challenges to this that impact on you and your leadership role.
This survey is completely anonymous and should take around 5 minutes to complete.
We will use these important responses to raise awareness of the challenges faced by Senior Charge Nurses, and to help lobby for better and safer working conditions. Your voice is essential to help us to do this.
As clinical and professional leaders for nursing staff delivering direct care, RCN Scotland believes that SCNs have a vital role to play in the delivery of safe and effective care, and that being non-caseload holding is vital.
If you have any questions about this survey, please contact us at policy.scotland@rcn.org.uk
The survey will close at 11.59pm on 27 July 2026.
Thank you.

Director, RCN Scotland
