Before taking part, please read this carefully. For the purpose of this survey:

'International/global health work' refers to professional nursing or midwifery-related activities undertaken outside the UK, in-person or virtually (online) across country borders, aimed at improving health outcomes, health systems, education, or capacity. This may include:

  • Public health or global health initiatives
  • Working in humanitarian or conflict settings
  • Defence or military health work
  • Volunteering (paid or unpaid)
  • Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) or charity work
  • University or education partnerships
  • Diaspora‑led initiatives
  • Research mentorship or collaboration
  • Hosting or supporting overseas health professional
  • Virtual delivery of education, clinical support, or mentorship

This may take place in low‑, middle‑, or high‑income countries and may be funded or unfunded.

You are eligible to take part if you:

  • are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK
  • have undertaken international or global health work within the last two years
